Aussies eat 4.5 million takeaway meals everyday.
And virtually all these meals are served in single-use containers and packaging that go straight into the bin. Sure some of them can be recycled or composted, but the reality is that most aren’t. Instead they enter our waste steam and if we’re careless, our waterways and oceans.
But, it doesn’t have to be this way.
Reusables are here for takeaway food. And we’re trialing a system for them in the Whitehorse City Council area.

About the Whitehorse project
We are super excited to join forces with Responsible Cafes, Sustainability Victoria and Huskee to bring this reusables trial to Whitehorse.
The trial is an initiative designed to reduce single-use coffee cup and takeaway packaging waste and reduce litter in Whitehorse.
